Not as much to write on these guys, this week, sorry. This being due to a combination of being sick over the weekend and not having as much developed on this species as much as others. Big shout-out to Icymasamune who graciously helped me get this done and did all the color work. There’s a large possibility this page wouldn’t be going up on time at all without his help.
Solons, sharing the inner orbit with Antians, along with fluxuating gravitational pull, are known for being a highly resilient species with fast regenerative biological properties. They prefer to keep to their planet (though they do have a limited number of colonies for mineral/ore mining) and their architecture is largely underground as a labyrinth-like series of tunnels.
Solons average out to be anywhere in height from 3.5 to 5 feet tall and have about as much diversity as the average Dozoran as far as hair, skin, and eye pigmentation goes.
Their AI creations, the Sophilians, are a large part of the reason why they don’t leave their planet. Because the ICU is a trade agreement and not a body of government, not all species formally recognize the sentience and citizenship of the Sophilians (which also lack any standard casing/body) and there have been cases of kidnappings/theft when Sophilians have traveled to foreign colonies or planets. As a result, Solons tend to remain on their planet or own colonies and refuse to trade or deal with those who do not respect their creations (though that doesn’t stop people from inserting themselves and middle-men or fences in order to turn a profit on the situation) sometimes going so far as to entirely boycott contact and trade with other species. Sophilians who do wish to travel will often be seen in the company of a Solon (usually their creator or another Solon they’re close to) who will claim ownership of the Sophilian for legal reasons. Some Sophilians have pursued careers within the Bronze Stars, who then acts as their “owner”. The only rival for Sophilian bots or parts on the blackmarket are the Nabian frog pets of the Antians (anatomically bipedal humanoid but utterly animal, often seen as an exotic delicacy of animal/human/sex trafficking).
