Description
Commission for of Bleu/Deis from Breath of Fire.This seriously had 100+ layers. Unfortunately because of its size (18x24 at 200dpi) I had to merge down every time I finished a section.
So something I learned from this is that video game costumes don't translate well to my style. Her shirt/tunic when I first drew this out had the feel that her chest was ready to pop out at any moment. So I took creative initiative and did some changes.
As long as it took, I'm really glad it took this long to finish it, because I don't think it would have turned out as good as it did.
Two more commissions to go (Osha, yours is going into my queue for next time I open commissions) before I open commissions again.

Hooray! Way to get it done Yoko! I agree with you, I think the amount of time that you spend on it really did give you the chance to make it better and better. I like the alterations that you made to fit your style and I think the bg is SUPER-AWESOME-NEAT-O!
The lighting effect that you applied is so nice, too! Like I said about the other one, it really gives her body form and visual weight, I feel like it would hurt if she hit me. I remember watching you paint it and being impressed with all the things you did. This is a very successful piece!
