I know, I know, ugly watermarks. But I'd rather not have my art end up on a site where I'm not credited. And honestly, it's at 10% opacity and does not obstruct your ability to see the art underneath. If my seal on my art bothers you that much, you're welcome to watch my tumblr where I upload much smaller versions chopped up with my long seal (the one in the bottom right corner) on each picture.Arken is a character I made for a Pathfinder game. She's an aasimar shaman (heaven spirit, Speaker for the Past archetype) mechanically. Narratively in the game she's a voodoo magical girl.

Sometimes I look at artwork other people do and it makes me feel very self conscious and plants a wild determination to get better inside of me. This is definitely one of them.
I love the design, the detail, the expressiveness, and (of course) all the fabric wrinkles!

Aw thanks! It's been a long while since I've been able to do any kind of art or exercises in expressions, and to be honest a large part of wanting to do this came from working on DotL, so it seems the inspiration has come 'round full circle!

I've got no problems with artists using watermarks, as they develop into professionals. I always considered it flawed thinking foa professional minded artist to not use them.

For any professionally minded artist to have that particular mindset suggests the person may suffer more from delusional thinking than benefit from actual professional thinking. Which is understandable. In order to develop proficiency with any art, a lot of folks have to block out the world that exists and to some extent create their own. Given how harsh the world can be, it's no surprise so many minds refuse to fully return.

She looks delightfully expressive and quirky! The headwings showing her emotions as well is a delightful feature. Arken looks incredibly fun XD
