Description
Will be moved to scraps later. If you follow me on Tumblr , then you've probably already seen the sketch for this (or maybe not, it was very early this morning). This is the flatted stage for the Opal piece. For this particular one I'm taking a different approach to inking and the lines and very VERY light and delicate, which will hopefully allow me to put more emphasis on shape and form. In essence, it'll hopefully look really cool.
I elected to eyeball the colors rather than use official art and color pick. Since I'm using textures, I'm already altering the values of the colors, So I didn't really worry too much about it as long as I was in the relative color ballpark. The Palette dots in the upper right are what I started off with, and the final colors and kinda obviously... not those anymore. If things go well/as planned, this thing is going to be really gorgeous.
Thoughts on adding blue henna to her arms?

I think this looks amazing! I love the colours here - the palette is really quite beautiful and the different inking process really shows. It looks lovely, it really does.
As for the blue henna I say go for it, it would add a beautiful extra layer of detail!

I just love what you picked for color and texture! As for the henna, I'm a bit neutral towards it, but it might make an interesting take on Opal's overall design.

Heh, well Clip Studio helps. I use the G-Pen for inking and for this one in particular, a very VERY light touch (I'm actually usually heavy-handed when I ink, so it was a nice change that resulted in less hand cramps). There's also a few quick tricks with layer masks that help make filling in the flats a lot easier.

Seeeee all the techniques
I don't spend enough time on Sai and I seem to be allergic to colour so I have yet to learn/try out all the tools OTL
Youtube is fantastic when I am trying to get some tips though XD
