Description Created for the HBT tournament.

So, probably one of the most disappointing things for me about LoZ: Twilight Princess was the Twili race. They're probably the most obscure race and visually, it really doesn't seem to me like they were planned out very well or at the least portrayed to the players well.

I mean, up to this point, all of the races (that I know of) have some sort of ambiguity that allow for speculation, theories, and interpretation. But they're also solid and fixed in at the very least what they look like and how they're structured. The Twili to me do not follow this.

So when I gave myself the task to create some Twili characters, I really had a hard time thinking about what to do, since there was an obvious lack of information to be had.

Thus, we have this, my own interpretation founded on a serious lack of information -_- I'm really not happy about it.

Alright, so I gathered that the Twili culture was a mix of ancient, tribal and a slight hint of polynesian clothing wise, with Midna's sarong, the twili writing/designs, etc.

I also like to align my ideas of their governing system with a theory that the Twili are ruled by houses of royalty and power, which allow for Zant to be referred to as a "servant" as well as a possible contestant for the throne.

So, without further ado, here are my Twili twins, Xina and Yetl.

The house that Xina and Yetl belong to is strictly forbidden from contesting for the throne. They have a history of very powerful magic that is also very unstable. Their bloodline has been preserved because despite the danger, they have proven to be very powerful and good leaders when not put in the position of direct power. Xina is the sister, who likes to shine in the lights of politics and social engagements. She volunteered the two of them for service to oversee the Hyrule Battle Tournament when news of Twili entering reached the ears of the Royal Court. They're there to oversee and make sure that no politically ruinous actions transpire. Since this IS a OoT timeline, only the Royal family is aware of the true nature of the Twili and the Twili are still banished to the Twilight Realm, the only exception being given for this tournament to again, maintain good (if strained) relations to the light world. Both Xina and her brother Yetl are extremely sensitive to the sunlight, and even indirect sunlight, if strong enough, will burn them. Xina wears a heavy cloak to protect her and Yelt has a helmet (much like Zant's which folds away).

Xina is impulsive, passionate and won't hesitate to take the floor and give a long compassionate speech to make her point. She's quite friendly and open, but is also very quick to anger and can fly into rages. Her magical abilities are unstable, and she has to constantly keep herself in check to make sure she doesn't get out of hand.

Yetl is Xina's much more calm counterpart. He has just as much unbalanced magic as his sister, but is better at controlling it. He prefers to stay in the shadows and not draw attention to himself. His sole purpose for being at the tournament is to keep an eye on his sister. Otherwise, he would much rather be in the Twilight realm monotonously drawing up papers and making copies of edicts or other proclamations.

Twili belong to Nintendo.
Xina and Yetl belong to me.

I enjoy your designs very much!
Though out of all the design work, I'm fond of the use of a more dark, pale green than the colors of black you commonly see on other Twili.
Very nice.

Thanks :3 I'm not a fan of using straight black in my pictures. As a color it doesn't move and can have the tendency to flatten an image.

*nods* Plus, the colors you chose gel nicely with the twili theme without being outlandish for them.
