I think my favorite part it the lighting effect that you used in this image, her form looks three dimensional! Her tail fin looks very convincing(and I like the piercings)!
My two cents on this : I think her tail is very nice, but on the background, it looks kinda like you took the pattern you used, blew it up and splashed it on the back. It is an interesting choice and it gives a unity to the piece that I like, but it also takes some of the variety out of the image. You use variety in neat ways, so it is a shame that you took that out of this image.
