I was in a conversation yesterday, in which someone complained about how no Gerudo in the tournament had a large nose.Well, my only excuse for Kanoru is that a large nose just doesn't function well with her design. And as far as noses go, yes in the character art Nabooru has a large nose. This is not the case with the guards' character art. ALSO, in game the noses are not large. Their distinguishing feature is that there is no indentation from their forehead to brow to tip. I don't take this to be large, I take it to mean that their foreheads are like the Native Americans in nature where they have strong brows that accentuate their noses, causing them to look large.
Personally, I believe the Gerudo to be more diverse than a singular facial characteristic. And I'm not going to go into debate over this with ANYONE, because I've talked enough about it to last me a lifetime.
ANYWAY
Here's a preview of some characters I'm introducing in Round 2 of the Hyrule-Battle Tournament. AND to be completely honest, I think it's stupid that having a "large" nose makes you ugly. I think the Gerudo are gorgeous and they're my favorite Zeldaverse race. I have a small nose and I don't like it. I wish it was larger!
Facial features don't make you ugly. Period.

: C I find "large" noses oddly... attractive? XD; IDK. I think they are interesting. Often times my noses take up a huge portion of my faces. BLARGH. it's just how I draw. MAYBE I SHOULD MAKE A GERUDO NPC TOO AND THEN PEOPLE CAN STOP COMPLAINING lol. Really a lot of the character art in OOC/MM had huge noses. It was just the artists style. Zora people (men especially) have that large honking pointy nose too. : P By compare, Razo's nose is also "too small" even though comparatively, (being the only male fullblooded Zora in the competition) his nose might seem "small" too.
I think that Gerudo wimminz are beautiful with or without the "big noses". : T But then again I have a very obtuse sense of what is "beautiful".
Natalli is my favorite. She looks so badA~! XD A'lia and Siidy are beautiful as well though. Can't wait to see more of them. c:

I'm not sure why, but I think Natalli's the prettiest. I think it's the freckles <3 I can't wait to see more of these girls!

XD Well I wanted to make her more of a magic worker, because physically she's not as well honed as the other gerudo. Her skin and slightly hooked nose was a coincidence XD

I'm lame and can't read your handwriting for what I assume are their names, BUT!
The first one just radiates "I'm in charge here!"
The Second one looks more like a rookie, something about her expression and the fact that she looks younger than the other two to me.
And the third just looks like the sort who might be the fire cracker, head strong, "My way or the highway" or even just experianced and older. That's the impression I get from the art, and I rather like it. You can tell that all three are Gerudo by more than just their noses, but they have the characteristic Jewel, the piercings, and the right facial structure.
I agree with you, a Big Nose does not a Gerudo make. Rather, I wouldn't say that Gerudo noses are large, or big, but they are identifiable.
That's very much like saying Slanty Eyes make the Asians. No, there's far more to it.
If you look into the 'legends' of the Gerudo, it's said that they kidnap Hylian men to keep their blood strong, and going, until the One Male is born to carry on the Gerudo Blood even stronger. It's perfectly logical for there to be a 'small nosed' Gerudo, and they are STILL Gerudo.
Anyways, I'm rambling, but I DO Agree with all that you're saying.
I think your girls here look fantastic, and I look forward to your Round 2 Entry.

The fact that I got that much out of them just from the little sketches you put up means you're a fantastic artist, but we knew this already, didn't we? It's a good thing that you can convey so much of their personalities that easily. I wish I could do that with my art, but, I'm working on it!
You should totally write up NPC Sheets for them. I mean it.
