Miku Miku Online is a virtual chat setting using PMD models from MikuMikuDance.
You can use LogMeInHamachi to connect as an alternative to Port Forwarding; similar to Minecraft.
to start a multiplayer, simply run the server and provide those you wish to join you with either your public IP adress or the Hamachi adress.
Singleplayer is also an option by connecting to the default.
There are several servers available on the site but they are in Japanese.
Custom models are also possible, simply create a new folder in (whereever you saved it)\mmo-0.3.3_67\resources\models and move the PMD file as well as textures and whatever else. I do not know yet if LAT models work in this due to their facial structure.
You can do custom data for standing, walking, and running. I think it is also possible to change the extremely high jump height, and to code in the option for more animations, maybe even facial movement.
Custom maps are also seemingly possible, as the map files in the Models folder are .x

The required hardware for the game is about the same as Miku Miku Dance.

Windows XP (unconfirmed), Vista, 7
2GB RAM
DirectX 9
Shader Model 2.0 or higher

How to use-

Start Client.exe
Server is automatically started in the background at the same time.

You will be asked after a short loading time for an address.
Put in the address of the server you want to join, or to play alone, 127.0.0.1.

Commands for this game/chat include

/Nick (whatever you want your username to be)
/Model (model name) sets the model to what you want it to be, out of the models you have.
/escape (for if you get stuck in a mesh or something, to go back to spawn, technically)
/reload (if you added a new model in the folder, it just refreshes)

Movement-
Forward- W
Backwards- S
Left- A
Right- D
Jump- Space
P- screenshot
close- Alt+F4
Character rotation - left drag
Camera rotation - right-drag
Mouse wheel - zoom camera
