Meh... Just decided to throw something randomly here...Or is it?
Not really, I've been doing extensive testing with hair movements and such as I promised that the final Pony Portal animation will be different from the other 6. This thing is up to be reviewed I suppose whether I already got that technique in the bag or if I still need to refine it
Oh well, everything needs refinement as they said.Chose this scene (part of the prologue) as I do not want to spoil any part of it. I will release some kind of teaser or similar to that in a short while; I'm only like 25 - 30% finished so far.
What do you say?
(By the way, after this I'll be utilising youtube more when first releasing any animations before DA follows a day or so; Don't want to trouble those without flash players)
And by the way, this thing will be going to scraps after I feel its purpose is achieved

Before you even brought it up the first thing I noticed about this loop was the hair movements. I love how fluid they are, and it somehow makes the characters more adorable than you've already managed to make them here. You're always showing signs of improvement.

I love seeing Lyra. Fanfics have put her on my favorites list.
You did a pretty good job. Although Lyra's tail just moves as a single, solid piece and so looks odd, and also the sound is off sync, it seems.
Other than that, this looks gooooood.

Coolness. The only thing I see that needs improvement is that Lyra needs to have some sort of anticipation before she jumps into the portal, like bending down before jumping. She just kind of bounces in somehow.

I have to ask... is that BonBon in the back window that jumped into a portal or something? or a random poof of smoke or opening of a portal? To me it looks like BonBon popped up for a split second and got sucked into a portal (jumped in one)
Man now I want to play Portal 2 with Lyra and BonBon in place of the two robots... why can't I make that happen!?

forget whatever I said about you not taking tail or mane bounce seriously.... this maybe a bit short but it has so much fluid motion! wow I'm impressed xD
It's really hard to see but I love Lyra's hair at the start as she comes running in before she even close close to her stop. The way the hair reacts there and to the stop was pretty <3
Bonny needs more work in the curls bounce and stretch. Sort of how Rarity's hair unfurls but winds back up as it furls and unfurls when she runs. I think that Dragon Quest episode has a great reference there if you can manage to loop that frame of her running. I think Pinkie and Rarity are best in helping with curls if you don't want to say study Diamond Tiara's walks in s1 and s2 episodes. Those are the most expressive curls imho.
Sorry for the rant, but also Super Cider Squeezy 6000 is a great episode with all the tail animations there for the various background ponies including Lyra and Bon.
Um, anyways enough of that lame-o suggestions I'm honestly impressed how well the tails and manes came out in this one. Not to mention the mouth animation seems really smooth and practical. If that even makes sense, I just liked it even if it may seem a small thing to others I just really liked the expressions in this one.
