My latest AMAlice-fanartwork (of which has been done for a long while this late summer, but due to lots of stuff happening in my life of which also caused all this inactivity here for quite some time now, I have been unable to upload this up until now. But here it is. Where to begin?

This one is like a part 2 of the last AMAlice-fanartwork I uploaded, you can see all her wounds etc healing up were she's resting in this cocoon. Here Alice is wearing the Caterpillar dlc-dress from Madness Returns, but it's blue here, and her wings is inspired and replica of the wings from the Ulysses Swallowtail-butterfly. I choose the Ulysses Swallowtail look for her (especially the blue since it's Alice's colour) as I believe this is the actual butterfly-specie of those bunch of butterflies fluttering around in her dodge-move in Madness Returns, at least a variant. Other, in the background there's various elements (most of e'm at least) from the game itself.

This background is also representative of a void, like a state of void in the universe. And the cocoon is not only symbolic for metamorphosis and transformation etc but also a symbolic for a resting place in-waiting-to-come-out-from-a-shell-like-state. The cocoon is also sort of a symbol for a dark night of the soul resting in the void.

The overall meaning of this artwork is that Alice is in a dark night of the soul (a spiritual depression but also a healing of the soul), and this one follows right after the last fanartwork I posted of her "Scarred to the Soul", were her soul, spirit and her whole self were deeply wounded and scarred, thus this is what usually follows after such a sad circumstances. And here, she's resting, still suffering but slowly healing. There's alot more to the dark night of the soul and there's much interesting stuff to read about it online. But yeah, this is it.
