Description I thought I'd create a tutorial on typograhy since I've done so much of it recently.

Here are some useful links:

Thinking with Type, a more in depth study of type: [link]

Oh and so everyone knows: you can post this wherever you want, just link back to this page/my main page at some point.

Oh, that's a typo, whoops. I really should have proof read it. I'm about to upload another version with an example of choosing tpye right now though so it's cool, I can just edit it now.

Typography is always my biggest issue and I absolutely love the way you set up this tutorial. It's beautiful, legible, and easy to comprehend. Thanks!

Bit of a tangent here, can you tell me anything about font copyrights as far as logo design goes for a commercial business?

It really depends on the font. A lot of the free fonts you can find online are only allowed for personal use; you can use it however you want as long as you don't sell it.

But it all depends on what is in the EULA(End User License Agreement). Some allow commercial work and others won't. You'll find that fonts that you can buy are going to have a higher tendency to be allowed for commercial work though. Just read the EULA before you try and sell it off, just so you don't get sued.

Brilliant Zenron, I hope you will be posting it up on .uk, and give me permission to post it elsewhere on Tribal Wars and Grepolis with full credits back to you?

Check UK man, I already sent in the topic for you to approve.

As for other places, post if wherever you want. Give me a second though, I'm just changing the file because I added a section.

This is incredibly helpful. I'm really bad with text in Ps and I needed to know it for my Graphics GCSE (the teacher never taught us) shame I found this afterwards!

Yeah, text can be really difficult to get right. It's so satisfying when you figure it out though.

Oh and thanks for the comment.
