just quick explanation:
Riley would have preferred to sleep with Herkules but he knew he needed proper sleep because he wasted more energy than he expected to (several ice baths wups) and to not bring others in danger, he asked for an empty wagon to lock himself. Because you maybe should know thaaat he still has his post-traumatic stress disorder, mostly common showing in his sleep. If he sleeps longer than 5 hours or his dreaming-phase begins he starts to get nightmares, always the same one. Everytime he starts screaming and shouting orders and names in hungarian, crying and his whole body is flinching, pain going from his chest and it already happened that he got himself a knife or other weapons in that phase and started to stab around which, as you probably imagine, can be reeeaally reeeallllyyy dangerous, not just for himself.
That's why he hadn't slept properly the whole month yet; waking up every 30 minutes to do a little check-round to be sure not to start dreaming. He has his body under best control, so he didn't feel any tiredness until now.
So now he didn't have to worry about Herkules. He was such a surefooted horsey and in addition: the typical stereotype of a draft. Lazy, fluffy, friendly, very sleepy. Don't give him a command for a few minutes (or seconds) and he's sleeping again. xD Best bribe: any treats, especially apples.
