DAMNIT it's been too long ever since I did my last lineless pic thought it'd make a nicer effect on the light but... nah I'm not sure bout it, besides that it takes me forever
decided to leave the background rather simply so there'd be a good main focus on my pair ~

fun fact: since the army of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy used to always have blazing red pants and still kept them in the beginning of WW1, their soldiers got shot one by one as if they were on an open field because sadly those trousers made perfect targets, even in high grass, so at least they at some point realised that and changed their attire LMAO
but I decided to go for the red-pants-version here because they were right about their fanciness wohh XD

Story:

Riley's fists were tightening on the reins, he was tensing, but just ever so slightly so only Zazu really pointed that out. "Am I dreaming or are you actually becoming nervous?", he grinned and looked up to him.
"Shuddup, douche, I'm not."
"You aaaree~", Zazu cooed.
"Maybe I just don't fancy riding in spotlights, okay?", Riley almost snapped back an answer. Wow, Zazu was indeed one of the rare persons he actually showed emotions around.
"Heyy, watchoutbitchymood", he chuckled, laying his hands over Riley's fists, his voice turning soft and calm, "I know we were taught to avoid spotlight. But here is no reason to be nervous. You two'll be doing just fine." Some sort of soothing smile laid on his lips.
Riley huffed and sat back up straight. "You're right, I guess. Dork." Then. The bell. It was their turn.
"Love you, too, dumbass", Zazu snickered, patted the mare's strong neck and stepped back with his crutches.
Xena snorted a bit impatiently while Riley grinned. "Aren't you wishing me luck?", he shouted after him.
"You don't need it. Besides. How long since you're believing in luck, huh?", Zazu chuckled.
"Right", he said and remained smiling slightly as they entered the arena.
