Story:

Riley grew weaker and weaker the closer he got to the finish line. Almost there. So close. The cold and the pain was really getting to him, despite normally not quite being able to feel it. Dáma watched over him at all times, clearly realising her rider was in desperate need of help. But Riley still held her back when the tents came into sight, not wanting to cause trouble or attract too much attention. He continued to hide the blood stains as good as possible, even though he was pretty much ready to drop off Davaj's back.
With a suppressed groan he awkwardly got off, grabbing Dáma's mane next not to fall at an attempt to start walking by himself. So close. He somehow managed to drag himself into Freddy's tent, who was quite shocked to see him in such a condition. Stubborn I-can-do-everything-on-my-own-Riley of course only requested some medical materials and instruments to take care of himself but despite always being very respectful and polite, Freddy convinced him to let him help. And if he was honest with himself, he really was in no condition to refuse any help he could get. And secretly, he was incredibly grateful for Freddy in that moment and even more for his understanding, for not asking questions.
All the worries were still circulating around his head, he couldn't quite grasp any clear thought. He just wanted to get home as soon as possible. But there was one thing he still needed to do. He approached Kenny, offering his hand as he apologised for losing his temper at him earlier in the race . Strange what death does to you.
