Having lived much longer than the young men who were brought to Farlin along with her, Annaes is much less inclined to worry when visiting the country. She and Maiyah paid a few visits there in their younger years, when they were still Soulbound. Maiyah may not have been Soulbound to Annaes for a long time, but the two still carried their bond like sisters even after Maiyah earned her new powers. It was Maiyah's request that Annaes be brought along when it was time for her to pass on her power to Brukh, and Maiyah knows why - both he and Stroh will need some guidance now that they've had their souls separated, and only Annaes has the specific knowledge that comes from being the partner of an Ascended Landorus to offer them.

It may seem like Annaes is asleep a lot of the time... and well, maybe she really is. This Shiinotic could come across as a little absent due to the fact that she's so elderly and sleepy, even if the boys of Rhyn might feel like she's lowering her guard too much. But her ability to talk even in her sleep does make her at least a tiny bit more alert than she first appears, and when fully awake she's a very perceptive and wise old woman. She is the spitting image of a patient, ever-loving grandmother with a lot of help to offer to the youngsters who will listen to her.

How she talks:
"...Mmm? What was that dear? You'll have to speak up just a bit; I'm afraid my mind tends to wander~"

"Don't be too sure we have all the answers! One thing I've learned in this long life is there's always something new to learn. Including from folk younger than us, like you."

"I will miss Maiyah of course... like anyone who's lost someone they really love ought to. She was like a sister and a best friend. But I wouldn't be respecting her by mourning her passing. Instead I'm going to honor her by showing the kind of love and care she had to others, and maybe giving these young boys an idea of how to do the same."
