my grandpa's friend had taken part in the WWII and Korea War.He can operating many kinds of guns, among them are these 3 guns.there is a joke being said during WWII in China,"type 38 hit japanese, suddenly they come back;hit Chinese ,have a rest, continue to fight.""mauser or mosin hit people ,dead or badly hurt."In China ,people can't own guns or bullet .I have collected several mauser 30-0 type99 type 38's brass which had been used in WWII.In1970,all these old guns which existed in China had been mend into 7.62*39or7.62*54R.

I know,6.5*51SR and7.7*58bullets are only produced in Sweeden now.The company's name is Norma.2 dollars per bullet.6.5mm type38 is more accurate than [link] grandpa's friend said that it is easy to hit target 200m away by firing a 6.5mm type 38 rifle.

There's an American company called Old West Scrounger that specializes in obselete calibres. I believe they sell Arisaka ammo. It ain't cheap though.

Mosin's are amazing rifles. Loud as hell too! I thought my FAL was loud, that is until the guy next to me at the range fired off his Mosin. That's an experience I won't forget lol.

Awesome! I'm planning on taking some more pics of those riffles. Like I what I'm thinking of is pics of them fully dissembled and more close ups on the markings and SN#s

Hibernian-Fool [2008-11-25 19:11:39 +0000 UTC]

If you can get a shot of some of their markings, I might be able to look up what arsenal the Arisakas came from; that is if you haven't already done so yourself.

ZeroSen2 In reply to Hibernian-Fool [2008-11-25 21:21:47 +0000 UTC]
