I keep thinking about markers, but I don't know if I should even bother til I can get some lessons from you.
You need to clone yourself, and sell them off as mentors.

I'd be lousy as a mentor...I'd just vacillate between self-absorbed silence and self-absorbed blathering about minutae of using X medium on Y surface while listening to obscure music at odd hours of the evening. And who the hell wants that...
As for markers. I hated the buggers for years and years. Would keep trying different ones. Kept hating them. Even now, the specific two-nibbed Tombos are the only ones I can find a use for (the Copics everyone seems to rave about - while nice, and certainly very expensive - haven't done fuck all for me), and even then, only in limited applications. It's just a trial and error thing, where if you are open to making a lot of mistakes to make that discovery that let's you do that certain something with a particular material, it's there to be found. Since I happen to find ways to recycle even some of my most pathetic erros, this happens to be a process that can even be fun once in a while....but it does take a certain form of personal aesthetic masochism to get through it.

really really neat--i love how you drew the throat. it's not a pink like you would think it would be--but i love the dark tunnel going down the mouth. awesome job! you are a really good artist.

I had to look at this to see the horror in the face--I love how it's just all about the eyes and mouth, with the nose shoved in there.

It's great! I do see a little Floyd (Gerald Scarfe) in there too... and you couldn't have asked for a prettier model! (ha ha!)

Nice work again! like the way that it is "cropped", makes it kinda claustrophobic. great work and economically used colour!

Actually that LP came out in 69
But that is actually part of the reason I liked the reference photo.
I am a big KC fan truth be told.
