Description
My reimagining of Brainstorm. A lot better than my first take on him zigwolf.deviantart.com/art/Bra…A lot of this redesign came from Brainstorm's Omniverse design. I got rid of his arms because this version also has telekinesis and from an evolutionary point, I think using telekinesis would make having arms pretty useless and they would lose them after a couple of millennia. I also got rid of his mouth because this version eats by filter feeding through his brain and he talks with the universal translator attached to his belt.

Agreed, telekinesis makes arms redundant. Great redesign! Especially his Universal Translator and eyes.

Honestly, he looks Better like this. He reminds me of the Brain from teen Titans and Batman

Yeah, he does look very similar to the Brain.

I also think the EXPOSED BRAIN thing is just dumb. it may explain telekinesis and electric powers combined but doing it via exposing your most vital organ is very dangerous. and not just to attack, but having your brain exposed in general would probably kill them due to air exposure

The biology of this version of Brainstorm lacks a mouth and his stomach is combined with his brain. So his species' method of eating involves opening up his head and sucking in microscopic organisms and when those land on his brain, that organ breaks down everything like stomach acid does. Protection is an issue but Brainstorm can easily protect his brain by covering it with a telekinetic shield.

Still seems dumb ironically to expose a vital organ

It's not as in danger as one might think, it has a shield covering it.

Kind of, he still sounds intelligent in everything he says but there's no British accent when he speaks.

Also...I did a list of some of Ben's strongest aliens...but now I'm curious...
On who'd be his smartest aliens. You know, the forms that give Ben SOME sort of super-genius mindset of some kind (hyper-evolving his brain to genius level to use the form to it's fullest kinda deal )

Well, Grey Matter and Brainstorm are definitely two that fit the criteria. Maybe Jury Rigg could also be considered smart since he knows what to build from everything around him, ingenuity from a little red devil.

And Gutrot! Oddly, Fourarms never displayed intelligence higher than Ben's, despite the fact that Tetramands are master engineers/mechanics/architects.

Well I think that unless intelligence is an inherent ability had by all of the species, it won't be given to Ben. The Tetramands might be master engineers, but that could be just for a few of them.

Also...with this in mind, how...sadistic should PSychobos be? At least with how I'm writing him. YOu can go all out with your take on him XP
One example of how far I'm going? I'm kinda having it htat he's actually willing to KILL one of his allies if they try anything funny. But unlike in OV, where he's kinda a dirty coward...Psychobos has NO problems basically pointing out htat he's got that giant-as-hell lobster claw and is more than willing ot turn ya brain into mashed bits of skull and mush.

I think with my version, he starts to become more unhinged with every defeat until he starts making some really dispicable experiments. His brain gets damaged and it starts giving him the cerebrocrustacean equivalent of schizophrenia where he has 30 voices in his head telling him all different things and he has to filter through all of it to find which one makes the most sense.
I think Psychobos would see all henchmen as expendable and when they're finished with their task, they can be forced to be his next test subject.

Oooh, that sounds cool. And yeah, makes sense.
Though I had the idea that he'd basically attack anyone who's his allies if they start to anger him. Doesn't go out right killing unless he snaps. (WHICH I think with my take on Omniverse, I think by the time te Incurseans come around and he failed in killing Azmuth...I think some froggies are gonna have something BESIDES Millius and Attea to fear...)

Though to be fair, he DID give Khyber a device that also holds the DNA of many dangerous animals...including something that can potentially become a kaiju thanks to Kev's idea on how to expand the Novan blight into something MUCH more dangerous (And something that can be awakened thanks to Albedo's workings )

Seirously...30 voices? No wonder he is jealous of Azmuth XP
At least with Malware, Khyber and Orianus, they can at least fight back. The Incurseans...(looks at Millious) If THAT is the guy in charge, these henchtoads don't have a chance against him XP and given they are seen as expendable...
...Okay, I am gonna stop talking before I get into something that's not exactly kid friendly DX

Gutrot would likely also be in there with a chemistry buff thing in the canon (and likely still has some of it in our takes of the character to make it work to know what to and not mix)

Does he still have his increased intellect and electric brain blasts, or have those been removed?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Zigwolf In reply to Holycrap1992 [2015-01-13 07:55:21 +0000 UTC]
He does still have those but his primary power is Telekinesis, it helps a lot with setting things in motion when he makes calculations that effect things around him in his head. Neuroblasts are still used but there's a risk involved here. When his shell opens up, his brain is exposed, so to not get that part damaged, he opens his shell for 3 seconds, sends out a blast then closes it instead of keeping it opened the whole time,

Interesting, Ben doesn't really have many psychic aliens, does he?
Also, on the subject of the brain, it's actually an obvious and logical weakness(since Ben just exposing his brain like that is just begging for a bad guy to get that one lucky shot) that it makes you wonder why they didn't actually use that in the show... other than, y'know, stupid villains and protagonist armor.

You know what I don't think he does. I'd say Ampfibian was psychic with his reading peoples thoughts if they didn't already explain to us that it's all about reading the mind's electric signals and Ghostfreak was listed as having Telekinesis as an ability but it was never shown.
Yeah, that should of been done. We should of had a villain that knew how to take down all of Ben's aliens without the need of predators or brute strength.

Doesn't Ghostfreak/Zs'skayr kind of have telekinetic powers? SO...wuoldn't that mean Ghostfreak has psychic powers?

Zigwolf In reply to Shadow-DJ [2016-09-23 04:36:28 +0000 UTC]
Well Zs'Skayr did sport some telekinetic abilities in UAF but I don't put much stock in those since a lot of aliens were getting abilities that didn't suit them.

Shadow-DJ In reply to Zigwolf [2016-09-23 04:38:14 +0000 UTC]
Hmm...
Well, since apparently Zs'skayr knows sorcerery, maybe that's all it is? Just a VERY low level spell? (I honestly do think it's scarier that he can beat you up without needing to physically attack. He can still do it...but it's chilling that he can possess you from afar as well as normally. Of course it's likely that level of telekinesis can just move bodies or objects)

Could be.
Yeah, I hated that excuse and I wasn't a fan of the reason in Destroy All Aliens where Tetramands built the pyramids. I think the Pyramids should be built by humans but in response to Aliens arriving. Like they were meant to trap aliens at first then as time went along they were turned into tombs. Some Pharaohs even honored the Thep Khufans by being dressed as them in death.

Shadow-DJ In reply to Zigwolf [2016-09-25 05:51:55 +0000 UTC]
Indeed XP
Basically the idea is that Thep Khufans weren't the ones who designed the pyramids (All human's idea wit hteh big triangles XP), but they helped them find ways to BUILD them. And also put protectice but VERY subtle curses in their possession so that no one could be the wiser

Heck, they could have taken inspiraton from the Ancient Egyptians with teir archetecture. (Though instead of Pyramids being their resting places, thir houses could just be VERY small pyramids in terms of shape and they live mostly underground. Ya know...to avoid a certain sphinx-like predator

Zigwolf In reply to Shadow-DJ [2016-09-30 23:08:35 +0000 UTC]
That sounds good. Houses are places to rest, so a pyramid being a house in this take, a large pyramid would be the ultimate place for the final rest.
