My reimagining of Infinite from Sonic Forces but who he was before he became a villain and the mask he sports.

Xiro was the bandit leader of the Dark Jackal Squad and they stole what they wanted and did anything they desired with hardly anyone able to stop them. When they broke into a GUN facility to steal a high value object but were met with a heavy resistance force made of GUN soldiers and Shadow, Rouge, and Omega. One by one, the Jackal Squad fell until only Xiro was left. Shadow broke his dagger and even caused Xiro to lose one of his eyes. Xiro managed to escape but he swore vengeance on the dark hedgehog and anyone he ever cared about. For months, Xiro searched for something, anything to put him on the same level as Shadow and he eventually found it in the form of the Phantom Ruby, which took Xiro into the Phantom Space and warped his mind. For an unknown amount of time, Xiro was left to wander around the strange void and his mind was warped from the experience. When he finally returned, he was no longer Xiro, he was Phantom and he was ready to make Shadow suffer.

Phantom can create a "phantom" constructs of whatever he desires, fly, and has enhanced strength and speed.
