Description
Shattered I8β x 8β pencil on hot press board.
This is a small pencil drawing of a smashed light bulb. Set up as a still life with low lighting and a low view (worm eye) this was a very interesting drawing to execute. This is only the first part of a diptych type presentation. Thank you

Curse you! Just when I was about to sit down and do some more of my uni work, you have inspired me to get on with my own drawing. Ah well, luckily I've been studying all holidays, so I can take a break anyway. This is awesome, you are much more than just portraits.

Oh my gosh! This would be amazing even without the reflections in the glass, but they add SO much more realism to it all. I like the grainy texture the entire piece has.. I don't know what it's from since I don't use traditional tools, but it looks nice. Did you use a reference? Either way, quite stunning work as usual.

Hmmmm- hot press board. How does that stuff work like? Is it smooth? Rough? ^^ But let me guess- You got annouyed at the lights flickering, so you desided to teach the others a leason in propor lighting but smashing and drawing it? LOL! Way to discipline!

That is some amazing detail. The way the light reflects off the broken surfaces is perfect, including where the glass cracked. Interesting concept too...how our lives and emotions are just as fragile as a lightbulb...burns brightly for a time, until it falls and shatters into pieces. At least, that's how I look at it. ^^
Incredible job as always! I look forward to the finished product.
