People nowadays care so much about content, art design and graphics that Street Fighter V, DmC: Devil May CryΒ and any HD remake got criticized and nobody gives a crap about the gameplay anymore.Gameplay is more important, graphics and content are an optional bonus. No matter how complete or incomplete a game looks like. Games like Sonic 06 and Sonic Boom are the REAL incomplete games, because the gameplay was poor and it was rushed, unlike Street Fighter V, who has a complete gameplay, no glitches, but people criticize it for the lack of content where I just wanna facepalm so harder. I know, it's the same thing with Killer Instinct, although after three seasons, it felt complete.
Again, Gameplay is the MOST IMPORTANT thing in videogames, whether it looks incomplete or not. I blame Mariotehplumber and other people who started this "Gameplay is not the most important in gaming" mindset.
Oh and before you get annoyed, I find the gameplay of Killer Instinct and King of Fighters XIV as badass as every Street Fighter game.

but the writing in Sonic Colors, is pretty bad. Β and it certainly feels downgraded from Unleashed. i platinum'd Generations tho.

Still, i've never let the writing in colors hinder my overall opinion of the game.
Same applies to 06. As much as I despise that game in terms of story, I'll still somewhat defend it for its gameplay. (Please note that I'm not calling 06 a good game.)

Yeah gameplay is important, I agree.
But Street Fighter V is really lacking in that department, especially compared to old classic Street Fighter games or even it's direct competition. I feel like alot of characters in SFV got nerfed too hard before release, the DLC characters are underwhelming, and alot of characters don't feel complete to me or are just too limited in what they can do. I really don't like playing SFV anymore, haven't played since Guile dropped and he turned out to be a huge disappointment to me since I enjoyed playing Guile alot in Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting, his gameplay just didn't transition well to the game. Thankfully I haven't bothered to buy any of the DLC, that's the thing that pisses me off about fighting games the most today is when characters are locked behind a paywall.

In that case if DLC in fighting games piss you off, then Skullgirls and KOF XIV has DLC and you won't play those games with DLC in it.

Well I backed Skullgirls on Indiegogo a few years back, and one of the perks is I'd get all the DLC character as they were released, so I didn't mind there. Plus Skullgirls does alot of things right that many fighting games get wrong.
KOFXIV doesn't have any DLC characters yet, and there are no plans to have DLC characters. I really don't wanna see another KOFXIII where they release DLC characters and they remain the best characters in the game.

I do agree a lot of modern triple A titles rely way to heavily on graphics but there are multiple things that build a good game story and those things are a plus but design does matter in a sense it adds more to the game your playing but all admit I played through the witcher 3 good game way to overrated I don't know thought I would slide a bit of opinion into here also (COOL MEME BRO ) Β Β
