Thank you so much for this I can't wait to try it out ^_^
Just one thing: Could you make some more tutorials of how to paint? You do it so well... *Sigh* ^_^

Love it, and the spamming is great, keeps me entertained. Thanks for the tutorial. I've been following your other ones for drawing practice and they've been really helpful so thanks for all the effort

There, I will not misjudge your skills in photo-manipulation because I'm a dork at using PS or any approaching software, I do not touch my photographs after having taken them (I'am an amateur, not a professional one but I trust my equipment and a shot is a shot, it has not to be "corrected" in any ways).
However, I will discuss here an issue I feel on the perspective field order that makes me a bit dizzy. I see an obvious perspective issue as I did not see such perspective field order in reality nor in my "clichΓ©s".
By that, I mean an object on the front can not be blurrier than any object staying behind it if the focus is pointed on the front object.
In this conditions: I see the pink and yellow flowers are in the same field as her left eye (on the right of the picture), also the hair over her left ear should be in this same field too because her noze and cheek are sharp.
Thus, why are those elements blurry in some parts? They all should be as sharp as her left eye is. The falling feather should be sharper too because it hangs on the same surface -the hair- (thus is inside the same field of perspective).
Am I making a mistake or the perspective effect is somewhat wrong? I feel like the pink flower is inside her head skull instead of staying on her hair.
Sorry if it disturbs you I feel like that, seeing your result, but my photographic eye has a problem to represent it as real or as "could be real".
A last detail, why is her right eye so sharp when it is in the rear approximately on the same distance as the right tip of the yellow flower?
To sum up, I would rather see the pink flower blurry on its right part on this picture and sharp on its left part as should be the entire yellow flower. Therefore, the two feathers and the wings should be sharp too along with the hair on her face.
Hope I did not lower you self-esteem
I'm just proposing elements to enhance the work you do already very well by introducing better field adjustments according to the persperctive reality of things.

you're totally right, I hoped that the viewer would use their own judgement for this and not follow what I did to the last detail as it was done very fast. So yeah, hopefully whoever tries this will do it better ^_^

I've been wanting to try this out for awhile now. I can use this tutorial for sure! It's so simple that I won't get confused, and I love the results. Thank you so much. What would we up-and-coming's do without nice people to explain their methods to us? ^^

So you just.. blur? Really??
One of the things I have the most trouble with when it comes to photo manips (aside from sucking at them, I mean) is getting a cohesive feel to an image in terms of color, light, shadow and value.
Integrating elements into a manipulation takes SO MUCH damned time and patience that I usually end up giving up or just painting something already. It's frustrating. Any notions on those? I'd happily take suggestions on specific tutorials if you know of any that produce quality results. And can it still be called a manip if I paint the face rather than use the liquefy tool? Any aptitude with that tool seriously eludes me.
Lead Buwana.. I'm willing to give it another try if you're willing to point me in a worthwhile direction.

That's fantastic. Now, I have photoshop elements 5, would any of this work on that? (I also have a Wacom touch tablet and Correl, so that helps aswell...)
