Captain Atom, having avoided the Flashpoint event due to being locked in the timestream after absorbing the energy of O.M.A.C. Prime, finds himself in a darker, grimmer world dominated by the Crime Syndicate and the Justice League missing. Refusing to abandon hope he seeks out allies and former friends to take the fight to the Supercriminals, at long last being able to fight without having to restrain his upper power levels.If only....
An obvious fanfiction moment since Captain Atom has been shoved into the distant background of DC and won't be likely to return for several years now, i really think we could have done without the New 52 version.
A fight between Captain Atom and Ultraman would be much like a fight with Superman, except with Ultraman lacking a 'character shield' that Superman normally has. Taking that into account, Pre New 52 Cap with his particular abilities and power could probably curb-stomp the whole Crime Syndicate fairly convincingly.
Originally this was going to be a Captain Atom Vs Doomsday fight, but then i thought about the current New 52 event story and changed it to Ultraman.

Actually, CA's main advantage against Ultraman is that UM gets weakened by normal yellow sunlight, so if CA can mimic it...Β
