In the wake of the Wonder Woman movie, Karen Starr is feeling envious...To be honest it's somewhat unlikely that Powergirl will ever make a live action appearance in any DC movie or TV show, maybe the characters costume just seems to bother certain people, or someone feels she's just too similar to Supergirl. Whatever the case it's a pity since DC's premiere tsundere and cat owner would lend herself to a witty and fun action script... oh wait.. that might explain things given the general tone of DC movies

Now that is a tough question, these roles tend to generally benefit from lesser known actors. I'll have to have a think.

For an animated movie/tv series, I'd cast Janet Varney of Legend of Korra fame.

I've had notions of casting Aly Michalka (I, ZOMBIE) in the part. Β She's not as buff as your depictions of PG, but I think her acting would fit the part of a older, more woman type version of Supergirl. Β Other ideas included Ronda Rousey and Ellen Hollman (SPARTACUS the series).

I hope (If there's another Superman animated series) That Kara Zor-El ditches the Supergirl costume and becomes Powergirl.

Interesting but If they did another DCAU related series, i'd prefer it if the enhanced Supergirl clone Galatea, having recovered and reformed, adopted her own identity of Powergirl. I don't think Power Girl should ever wear the 'S' shield, DC made that error with their first New 52 version.

Actually Supergirl becoming powergirl is inspired by Roysovitch's Earth 27 version of the two, actually one since Roy said no universe jumping for this one

I would just do things differently, little details really, i would have Flash being Wally West for example, or Captain Atom wouldn't wear combat trousers.

I grew up with Wally West as the primary Flash, Barry was a memory for over 20 years, so when DC brought Barry back from the dead it was at Wallys expense.
