Description
Here's a Vampirella piece I did, so that I could have some original art to sell at San Diego.I did Vampirella covers for Harris Comics, back in the 1990s. The reason why there are none in my gallery is because I don't think I ever did the character justice.

I accidentally stumbled on this illustration and the first thing that came to my mind was:
"This style really looks like Adam Hughes'".
Then I read the name.

Yes she does, but you won't mind, there are WORSE hickeys! Great artwork Adam and there are few characters you can't do justice to!

Very Nice. I like the variation in tones, particularly on her legs and midsection.

I stumbled across a bunch of the old 1970s Warren Vampirellas in a box of comics at the back of an Army Surplus shop when I was 17 and to this day they remain some of my most treasured possessions, I'm over twice as old now and Gonzalez's art still raises my heartbeat.
None of the Harris stuff that I ever saw held a candle to it, but this piece is beautiful, Adam!
PS, that same cardboard box also provided my first exposure to Will Eisner, who I had the privilege of meeting a few years later. God bless the guy who collected it all in the first place. There were also some of Buscema's black and white Conans. Mouthwatering, all of it.

I love this picture. The tones are amazing and it took me a long time to notice that ghoul ogling her XP

I beg to differ with you, Mr. Hughes!!!
Vampirella looks fantastic in this artwork and the background emphasizes it even more!
I like everything about this drawing, so don't worry thinking you didn't do Vampirella justice. You most certainly did, so go ahead and draw more of her!
MUCH more!!!

Fantastic. Is this all ink wash, or is this with markers as well? Either way, awesome piece.

Pretty tight work with the markers. I assume something this detailed would take a bit, what with prep-work and all. wesome stuff, sir.
