The episode begins 125 MYA in violence: as a small turtle looks on, two packs of Utahraptor converge to take down a young Cedarosaurus. As the packs stop to squabble amongst one another, the young animal is grabbed by a crocodyliform, and is almost dragged into a lake before the Utahraptors rally to take their kill back. They never get it, though; the herd of adult Cedarosaurs rallies themselves as well, and they promptly flatten the theropod pack.
In the next sequence, 70 MYA on Madagascar, a small dromeosaurid named Rahonavis is portrayed as being able to land on giant sauropods like Rapetosaurus and pick out the small parasites living on their skin. Later, a Majungasaurus attacks the Rapetosaurus, and her two small children wind up treeing the Rahonavis. The juveniles wind up being eaten by two Beelzebufo, and the theropod escapes.
The next sequence is a bit trippier. 160 MYA, in China, we see a small herd of Shunosaurus grazing amongst the trees. One juvenile eats some bright red mushrooms, and experiences one doozy of a high that nearly ends in tears when two Sinraptor attack the herd. Through sheer luck, the herbivore manages to crush his pursuers.
The next sequence, in late Jurassic China, involves a male and female Guanlong running themselves ragged attempting to catch small mammals, such as the semiaquatic Castrocauda and the gliding Volaticotherium – they wind up taking a brief ride on a Mamenchisaurus purely by accident while chasing the latter, and are then stuck on a small island and menaced by a crocodilian.
The next part takes place 75 MYA, in the Gobi desert. A young Protoceratops, recently orphaned by a pair of Velociraptors, has his life saved by a solitary old bull of his species who winds up taking him in for a night. As opportunistic Azharchid pterosaurs wheel and circle above, the bull winds up depositing the orphan with a larger herd before leaving on his own to lie down amongst a “Protoceratops Graveyard” of his herd.
The final part takes us to Brazil, 125 MYA. A small family of Anhanguera has three chicks who are leaving the nest for the first time. The first flies well for a few seconds before smacking into a cliff (we later see crabs feeding on his broken body). The second gets snorked up by a larger passing pterosaur. The third thumps down on the beach, screws around with a bad-tempered crab, and flees from a couple of Notosuchus before finally learning to fly.

Are you sure that the crocodilian on the Anhanguera segment was Notosuchus, or was it some other generic type of crocodile, like the one featured in the first segment with Utahraptor and Cedarosaurus?
