It's controversial opinion time!You don't know how much I grew hating on the "blue cartoon hedgehog that runs fast" shtick. I know that's crazy when it comes to Sonic, but it's been years I haven't thought of Sonic as just a speedy anthropomorphic hedgehog. The way I see him, and the rest of the Sonic cast to an extent, is just superheroes to the likes of the X-Men or Young Justice, or even teenage versions of the Avengers and the Justice League. I mean come on, Sonic and Shadow are pretty much other versions of Quicksilver or the Flash, Knuckles being a new Luke Cage, Tails would be Iron Man, Rouge would be Black Widow, the Chaotix being a mixture of Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Batman, and so on and so forth. If you want people take Sonic seriously again, then stop thinking of Sonic the childish way by saying "Oh, it's a blue hedgehog who runs fast", and instead say "He's a carefree teenage speedster who happens to be a hedgehog". It's the same thing people do with the TMNT: they say "they are teenagers and extremely skilled ninjas, who happen to be turtles", not just "these are turtles who kick asses" (at least that's what I hear when I ask IRL friends about them). Heck, the emphasis is put on Teenage in TMNT, or else it would just have been Ninja Turtles like what we have in France, making it seem more childish.

I pretty much view Sonic the same way, since I was a kid I thought of the Sonic character as kind of super heroes who just happened to be animals and that's part of the reason I got into the series because I liked super heroes. It's also part of the reason I want to see Sonic get more of rouges gallery in the games I mean they could use the villains from the comics and game gear games to fill that up, it's also part of the reason I want to see the other character get their own spin offs and have a Sonic shared universe in the vein of Marvel or DC, and why I would like the characters to get more backstories, you that kind of stuff like super heroes.

Its actually surprising that Sonic doesn't have much of a rouges gallery.
I mean it maybe not the most common thing in Jump and Runs but definitely not unheard off I mean even Kirby has one.

is there a large assortment of recurring villains in Kirby? when I said that Sonic should have a rouges gallery I meant that there should be more individual characters who make multiple appearances who act as the main villains in the games basically like Eggman is with the games. Also I already explained why I want a roughs gallery, so why do you think he should have one?

Well there are a few.
Obviously is Dedede occasionally a villain to this day (even through he rarely plays the main villain role anymore because he just like Kirby wants to know his kingdom save from demons and aliens that keep attacking)
Than the Dark Matter invader that player main villain 4 times by now (DL2+3,crystal shards and squeak squat)
Than did Dark meta Knight after being the penultimate boss in Amazing mirror(the actual final boss seams to be aΒ combination of nightmare's from Kirby adventures and dark matter's mirror world counterparts) made his return as final boss of Dedede story mode in Tripple deluxe and was hinted to be the one responsible for the evilness of the main villain of Kirby's story.
Galacta Knight already played all powerful badass 3 times already even through only in Metanightmare ultra was he allowed to be the final threat but he is still out there and could at any time return with his planet shattering power.
And if we go by other major reoccurring independent threats not necessary the main villain is Meta Knight also a powerful adversary that keeps coming back (but since his defeat at full power in squeak squat mostly with extra power and mind controlled)
So there are a few reoccurring villains in Kirby and some previously defeated enemies is there a possibility that there will eventually return I mean you can't really kill a god of death can you.
