Decided to make a quick lineart tutorial ^^ as SAI needs more love <33333Question. Should I continue this tutorial with Part 2: Colouring and Shading???

Would you say it's nearly impossible to get decent lines with a mouse? Because I'm thinking about buying a tablet and I want to know if it's worth it.

I wouldn't say its impossible, you can do it using pen tool in photoshop or the curve tool on paint. However, once I got a tablet I haven't even thought about thinking about not using it again ^^ If and only if you are serious about your digital art I would strongly recommend a tablet. They are easier and fasterΒ to use, allow the use of pen pressure and really there's only so much you can do with a mouse

I dont think like that with the curve tool because look next to the curve tool button and there is pressure (makes the ends pointy and nice), its easy to use, simple and helpful if youre a mouse user

My tutorials are based on my work x3 I never liked using the curve tool, good for mouse users yes ^^ but I'm not one

The only thing that sucks is when your PC breaks and you end up with a Mac. Why paint tool SAI no work on mac? WHY MAC NO COMPATIBLE WITH .exe FILES?

Yeah, i've tried that one before, but it doesn't have pen pressure for tablet users nor will it ever because of the way wineskinning works

Um...I know this is a little late but how did you get the full version? I don't have any of the tools that are in the tutorial...I have bought SAI but it didn't give me any of those tools.

why not use the mixer brush in PS to blend? I find that it works equally as good as the blur tool Β in sai.

Any idea if Paint Tool Sai is free now? I've been on the free trial for more than the time period it said online and I'm wondering if they are still running it for pay or not?

does the Smoothing/Stabilizing Only work for Sai when you use a Tablet?

It only works best with a tablet, you need the pen pressure to yet the lines edges crisp. ^^
If you look at SAI just above where the layers are you will see the button you click to get a new layer. Next to it is a similar looking button but this one has a pen over it. Click this and a "Lineart Layer" will be made. When on a lineart layer the tools you can use change, the curve and line tools are only usable in these layers.
