Whoo, you guys are getting so many comics you can't handle them all!!I mean, it may not be The Selection but COMICS!
The second silhouette project for my class. This one's requirements were: 2 pages, 8-panel grid format, 3 characters interacting, extensive use of physical expression, 3 totally different characters visually, no dialogue, all done in Sharpie once again.
This one was a little struggling for me. When you have to constantly do so many comics within a 1 1/2 day time span your brain starts farting out extremely quickly. I ended up not being able to come up with this idea until the 2nd day, so it was a haste to get it done. It ended up being one of my most humorous and accepted comics in class critique, but unfortunately 2 things happened: one, we were supposed to have 3 chars interacting and I kinda cheated and removed the 3rd one through most of it, and two, I don't have an 11x17 scanner so I had to use CamScanner which, while does a pretty good job, distorts the living heck out of your straight lines. It also made a lot of things super ugly and grainy. Soooooo I didn't nab an A on this one (I think I got an 85 or 87, I forgot which) but it was a crowd favorite so that's something, right?
Anyway, enjoy this one! It's definitely one of my favorites.

I was intending to say just that but I felt like that might be disappointing somehow so I'm also gonna say that I love how you get a sense of the characters with just the gestures and also I want to hang the last panel on my wall 'cause something about the skinny dude continuing to freak out is hilarious to me.

Ahahaha oh no! That pesky cow! Cutting in on the cameos! Unfortunately he doesn't take animals as characters. I barely got away with the centaur in the last comic hah!

Oh! It's an App that lets you scan in documents by taking a photo and it enhances it and flattens it out (since you can never get a photo taken perfectly straight and flat-on). It's really great for simple scans if you don't wanna fuss about high quality, but for finished pieces it's really awful because the adjustment tools are, well, not for art!
