Description
Spirit was originally meant to be apart of Lost-and-Found-OCT but I decided to withdraw before auditioning. Therefore marks with strikes through them are no longer applied to the character itself, but I don't wish to remove the information. Just to clarify.NEW REFERENCE:
EPICTASTICALLY LONG INFO AHEAD.
Name: Spirit
Nickname: (none currently)
Age: Unknown (guessed to be a few hundred years at least)
Gender: N/A (will respond to either male or female)
Species: Wandering spirit, now turned partially-Mortal
Height:
5 feet at shoulders (60 inch | 152.4 cm)
7 feet from nose to tail (84 inches | 213.4 cm)
Weight: 650 lbs / 294.9 kg (bull elk sized)
What was Stolen: Immortality/Spiritness (totally legit word)
Abilities: Has a heightened sense of empathy for others. It can sense subtle shifts in emotion from people as quickly as they happen. This results in Spirit being very aware of the current temperament of its opponents and it can adjust its actions accordingly.
EX: If an opponent seems to be acting deceivingly, it can become aware that something is odd about it and it can pay closer attention and not lower its guard.
Limitations to Ability: Although it can sense emotions throughout a room, it can only pinpoint and concentrate on a single person's at a time to its full effect. Certain emotions can also be similar or can overlap each other, so it is not 100% accurate. Spirit can also become overwhelmed if it is exposed to negative emotions for too long, causing its concentration to suffer and its own temperament to be affected.
Personality:
Spirit is a happy beam of sunshine (I still need to update the sad-sack visual on the ref itself). Very little can get it down and it is very optimistic. It is welcoming to strangers and eager to get to know just about anybody. It likes to ask questions, often pertaining to a specific species and mortality. Its questions can be annoying to those who don't like to be pried or bothered. Its ability to sense emotions can also lead it to asking people what is wrong and trying to help them (if they are sad or nervous, as example). It doesn't particularly like to talk much about itself, instead curious on others. It is rather intelligent in regards to the world around it and has good common sense, but knows very little about the behaviors of people so it may be rude to others or ask inappropriate questions without knowing any better.
The idea of the fighting tournament frightens it, but it knows it has no other option if it plans on getting its immortality back. The idea of dying scares it more than anything, since it does not want to experience such a thing. This can result in Spirit having a serious dedication at times, and it will choose fight over flight if it feels there is no other option.

History & Relationship with Otter:
Although I am developing a future story with Spirit that does not include Otter, I will keep this segment as an alternative canon.
Spirit was, well, a spirit before the tournament began. It wandered about the land not doing much, being a lowly spirit who had not been given a duty. It enjoyed to travel but stayed within the confinement of the forests and away from people. Some small tribes or cultures have spotted the creature before, and many have implemented it into their religions in some form or another. When its immortality was taken by The Thief, the strange new sensation of having a mortal body bewildered and frightened it. It eventually traveled a short distance and met with Otter, an otter who had a similar run in with a Thieving shape shifter.
Spirit relies heavily on Otter to teach it how to live and act in its new body. It asks him a lot of questions and finds him to be a special person, considering he is its very first companion it has ever had. It does not like being separated from Otter, and can be somewhat protective.
Team combat:
Often, Otter will ride on Spirit's back as a form of transportation since he cannot walk around that well. Spirit and Otter have rather poor communication skills, their methods of fighting greatly differing. Spirit can often panic and attack things without waiting for Otter's advice, and in the midst of a battle the chances of Spirit listening to Otter's commands is very slim due to it being too focused on fighting.
