This is a photoshopped image using material I found on the internet, all credit to the original owners who I honestly can't remember. I don't usually do photoshopped images, most of my art is 3D and because this is rather sub-par I'll probably re-do it one day.

852 BCE - Ce 2183 Galaxy Map timeline

Before this time period there were many ancient races, including ancient Humans, Precursors, Leviathans, Engineers, Isu, Martians (Doom), Forerunners, Protheans, Chozo, Tau Volantis Natives and Cybertronians who inhabited the Galaxy, and many intergalactic civilisations and organisations who had a presence in the Milky Way as well, their history is yet to be explored in detail. In the Amalgamation Universe the fortress world Reach came under Siege by 2183. However, due to the greater technology of this universe's altered, merged timeline and the fact that there were over 200 Spartan 2's to defend the planet, the odds were slightly better.

But when the Covenant Showed, they showed up in force, and despite humanities numerous advancements they still weren't on par with the Covenant Empire which had been Spacefaring for over two thousand years prior. The Covenant still had more accurate slip-space jumps, better shields and plasma weapons, and massive warships bigger than anything any other race or group could ever dream possible. The Pillar of Autumn returned to Reach both out of the necessity to defend the planet and to recover the fragment of Cortana from Halsey before they left on the secret mission to capture a Prophet. (utilising both book and game canon here)

Except Noble team and the other S2's were much more successful in defending the planet due to better aerial support. When Operation: UPPERCUT was executed it was actually more successful, the UNSC Savannah was never destroyed by the Covenant Corvette due to the frigates shield's better repelling the Corvettes Plasma bombardment, even the ODST troops on-board were equipped with high-charge particle shields and three of them were Biotic (Mass Effect). Jorge and Six both departed the Corvette aboard the scheduled transport and the nuke was never compromised.

Kat didn't get shot in the head-more effective air support kept the skies over New Alexandria clear even with the massive explosion.

With a full team minus Jun-who escorted Halsey- and clearer skies Noble was able to make there way to the Autumn with more relative ease; the Zealots that were to kill Emile were combatted by the other three present Spartans: Carter, Kat and Jorge.

When the Autumn returned to deploy there detachment of S2's most were again sent to the surface for the generators of the super-mac platforms, but with more S2's in this universe a high amount were available to defend the platforms, and so Linda and James didn't meet their intended fates either, instead they both remained on the Mac Platform to defend against the never-ending Covenant Horde.

The Master Chief had to leave his team on the platforms whilst he went with the Autumn to recover the Cortana fragment. In the end though, despite all of the better advantages this universe's UNSC had Reach still fell and the Pillar of Autumn had to flee in the midst of the failing battle. Noble Six joined an awake and alert Master Chief aboard the Pillar of Autumn and thus was present for the events of Halo: CE.

Not long after they left though, the Citadel Fleet showed up just in time to save what was left of the Mac platforms, but that's another story.

What was left of the fleet of Particular Justice, approximately 226 ships, pursued the Pillar of Autumn into slip-space, and as Cortana used bits of the data recovered from her fragment on Reach, they stumbled upon the ring world with two hyper-lethal vectors on board.

Both defended the Autumn from Covenant attack, and both were deployed to the surface of the ring-world as the Autumn was destroyed.

Now pretty much just imagine the rest of CE playing out in your head as if the two player campaign was canon and there were two Spartans in every cutscene, but one with N6's armour and you'll get a pretty accurate idea of how that all went down.
