“Accidental Encounters”

Tyrannosaurus rex, Ankylosaurus magniventris. My first painting of an ankylosaurus. Here we see an old bull ankylosaurus grazing by a stream when a young adult female tyrannosaurus stumbles across the bull, starling him. Not having much of a brain within that thick skull of his, we all know what the outcome would be if the tyrannosaur doesn’t make a hasty exit from the scene. This old bull is no pushover and with his armor and weaponry, almost nothing on earth can touch him without his consent.

So those lady ankylosaurs are safe. Being old and nearly invulnerable, he had no use of color patterns that would conceal his form from would be predators, in a way he would have done as a young animal. The only thing he needs is the orange coloration on his head to attract the ladies
