"Tommy"Homo neanderthalensis. A pencil sketch I did a few years of a Neanderthal man without a beard.
I chose to depict him without a beard to showcase some of his facial anatomy that would usually be obscured by the facial hair.
I did this sketch during one of my anthropology classes, while looking at some photos of Neanderthal skulls I had access to. I named him Tommy because he ended up bearing a slight resemblance to Tommy Lee Jones. I might end up coloring this up at some point.
Completed on the 27 of October 2019.
