A bit different Vriska Serket robot arm tutorial: Part 2 - The Colors~ NO COMMISSIONS ~
Part 1 - The Glove anniina85.deviantart.com/art/V…
OH GOG. This took longer than I expected! I'm sorry for the delay. ;-; traveling, school exams, social life.. you know the drill. But now it's here!
I explained pretty much EVERYTHING in this part, so this might sound like a tutorial for dummies haha. I just wanted to be thorough and explain ALL the pros and cons I went through with this process. ALL OF THEM. I hope this'll be helpful on your own path of Vriska cosplay~ <3

There is. I tried to make the arm like the way you did recently, and I kept messing up the pinky. Did you have issues with that?

aww. I messed up one finger yes but scrap fabric saved that. and not it wasn't the pinky. the fingers are kinda tight fit but still fit

I am in the process of making one. I don't own any copic markers so I am using sharpies. Probably not the best idea that I have had. My fingers are now streaked with silver. I also had to use stockings that were much darker than the ones you used, so it looks a bit odd. But so far they look fairly good.

oh dear, I hope they work out.
copics somehow didn't bleed through the fabric eventhough I felt the moisture in my skin.

Luckly I was able to wash the sharpie off of my hands easily enough. I have got the shading technique down quite well and they are beginning to look pretty awesome.

Can you do this with markers that arent Copic?

Anniina85 In reply to loverikuforever [2012-09-22 11:51:03 +0000 UTC]
i have a hunch that others won't work as good as copics. Copics blend like a charm and at least in my case didn't bleed through the fabric.

I ended up using sharpies to color it, and that worked pretty well. They did bleed through a bit, but they blended better than I expected them to.

Wow, this is amazing! I made mine out of actual metal, but this has inspired me to make it even better and put stuff in the spaces between the metal strips! Except I'd probably find a way to sew on actual wires because I have no drawing skills...ah well. Excellent job!
