Great shot
I had the same idea a few weeks ago when a saw a fallen tree, but the location was really bad and I was a bit dissapointed. You had apperently a lot more luck with the location. I really like the composition because it's a bit against the general rules; the tree distracts the attention from the great view, wich in some way distracts the attention from the tree. At first, you really don't know where to look..
I'm happy (and a bit jalouse ) for you that this pic came out so great.

Mmmm beautiful. Just look at that. Makes me feel so much at peace with myself, just looking at this shot. The colours are perfect too. Quite vibrant. Someone said the shot is a bit dark, but I'm not sure what they're on about. It looks perfectly fine to me. Perhaps they need to adjust their monitor settings. Love the perspective down the tree that you've got. Looks fantastic to say the least. It's quite a nice focal point even if you intended then whole scene to be a focal point. The overall blue colour of this shot is nice, but I really like that splash of orange in the sky. Makes it even more special to look at. Wonderful. So lucky you are to see such beautiful scenes.
