Description I got this shot while taking a series of long exposure water shots at Hatchers Pass, Alaska. After hiking around in the woods looking for a good spot to park my tripod, I finally came across a clearing and almost dunked myself when I went to set up my tripod . This shot is of a group of rocks that were right next to my tripod. The shot was taken at 11:58pm.

Camera - Nikon D70

Love the misty quality of these long exposure shots - and there's so much detail on those rocks, all that moss..? (or whatever it is)...

Ooh, gorgeous. The water looks like some soft, blue pillow. And I love the different colors of the rocks.
Another thing the water reminds me of is clouds. Sort of white and fluffy. Amazing how you can make it look like that.
*Great* work.

This picture is so wonderful! The silky look of the water floating across the stones is so nice! And the textures on the stones build such a nice contrast to the soft look of the water! I think this picture was really worth almost dunking yourself in the water !

geek7 In reply to anonymous66 [2004-06-04 09:37:56 +0000 UTC]

Ah, ok. I wondered about the rather long exposure time. You ever tryed ND filter?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

anonymous66 In reply to geek7 [2004-06-04 09:40:49 +0000 UTC]

Nope, but I've been meaning to order one. I just ordered an Infared and a polarizer, but not a neutral density filter. Its the next thing on my list
