My entry for Kinktober 2020 Day 17 - Prey

The forest was alive with insect noises and nary a sound of human habitation. Janine's clone realized she truly was in the middle of nowhere, naked and unarmed. The two boulders she had wedged herself between was the best cover she could find after being released from the hunting start zone. Somewhere out there the original Janine skulked, high-powered rifle and sleeping gas canister in hand. Thirst plucked at the clone's throat and she wondered how safe it would be to leave the relative cover she had to search for a stream.

"Clone Hunting" was a very lucrative but highly illegal sport. Only the richest humans could afford to have a clone grown in secret for the hunt. When she'd woken up in the cloning vat she had quickly realized which end of the hunt she was going to be on. No escape attempt of hers had succeeded and now she was going into her third hour of borrowed time. She didn't know how long she could keep evading the original Janine, but she had to try her best to survive until dawn. They'd said she'd be free to live if she could do that and she could only hope they were telling the truth.

A slight noise behind her sent a chill down her spine. A soft trill of laughter on the boulder above followed and she knew she'd been found ...
