A Spider-bot scuttled in front of the girls and a hatch in the bulbous abdomen opened up. A small greenish slimy insect crawled out which made the girls squirm with revulsion. "Each Creche is comprised of two parts." the humanoid robot continued. "The fabrication side assembles the cybernetic devices made of metal and circuitry which we use as our mechanized vehicles and tanks during an invasion. The biological side gestates the spider-bot larval forms which are the descendents of the original Gheltrin race who first fashioned us eons ago. At birth the Gheltrin possess minds mature enough to maneuver one of the mechanized craft, and spend the planetary take-over period inside one as warrior, guard or information gatherer depending on the Empire's needs."
