Slowly the fog of pleasure faded from the minds of the women. As they grew aware of their surroundings they realized they were bound yet again into metal devices. Feeding tubes in front of their faces dispensed more of the foul green "nutrients" they had been fed in the other room, but now they drank it willingly, if without much enjoyment. Hunger and familiarity made the drinking less of a horror, though it did not deaden the taste in any way.

"No world that we have landed on has ever come close to reaching or discovering the Creche-works facility that we set up when colonizing a planet. It is in such factory complexes across the galaxy that new Spider-Bots are created." the humanoid robot said to them. "Your species has shown great resilience to our troops, greater than any species before. At present our knowledge of what transpires at the Cheche-works for this planet has been cut off. We do not know if it has been destroyed or merely captured or if the communications array has been jammed or destroyed. Thus we must proceed with the assumption that the worst has happened and that it has been destroyed. Such an event is unprecedented. There is no other such factory here. Each world has only required one up until now. To compensate for our assumed lost production efforts then, another assembly line must be built. Another Chreche-works must be put together. You three will aid us in this work, though it will be arduous. Your bodies are not fashioned for such a task. Yet the work must be done. Therefore we will make certain adjustments to you that should allow the work to proceed according to plan."

The women squirmed in their bonds as it said this, and shivers of cold fear went down their spines. Whatever adjustments were needed for building a whole assembly plant, it was doubtful they would be pleasant.
