The fighting lasted for over two hours but in the end the human forces prevailed. Scores of the Spider-Bots were blasted apart and littered the hallways. In the furthest recesses of the compound the soldiers came across the women designated for larval birthing. The Spider-Bots had been able to press over one hundred women into birthing service and the men were perplexed as to what to do with them.

"We've eliminated the Spider-Bots." one told the girls in response to their pleas for information as another tried to figure out the alien controls to the magnetic beds. "Destroyed all their bases here on earth in a D-Day assault that started three days ago. Rumor is that they had one or two ships orbiting the moon as well but they've turned tail and fled the solar system. You gals are a sight for sore eyes I gotta tell you. We haven't seen a girl in months. The Spider-Bots captured most females and put them to use in underground bases like this one all over the world. They didn't seem interested in men; they mostly just killed us on sight. Intel is sketchy but it appears that humanity is down to about half a billion or so men. Women like you fared a lot better; they estimate there are about three billion of you left. Or will be once you all are set free."
