Description
This is mostly so I don't forget how I did this ...To proved that it would be useful, I made this, then waited a week, and attempted to reproduced the results. I FAILED. Therefore, this was worth my time. *epic win*

how do I paste something onto the layer mask?

I'm just not getting the cut/paste thing at all...
I cut the 3rd layer...then paste it...and then it creates a new layer about something called 'floating text'

Try cutting the 3rd layer, clicking the layer mask on your layers panel, then pasting, then layer-> anchor layer.
Did it work? 8D

It's called 'floating selection' actually...it won't let me select any of my layers or anything when that is selected

basically, you cut the top layer (called whale#3 in the example), click the layer mask, then paste. got it? XD
