Description
I feel exhausted, so I'm kind of blanking on what to say I drilled and filled a tooth on a live patient for the first time ever this past week. The patient survived and meanwhile, I didn't faint from nervousness I've also been having some weird, itchy, skin condition all winter until now. Combined with the nerves, I didn't sleep all too well this week, but crocheting has kept me sane through all the bumps of dental school
Anyway, enough of that, Eevee is all done!! I hope you all like her (I decided to make this one a "she" )! As usual, please credit me should you use or manipulate this pattern and please be respectful and don't sell the finished product since I don't own the character! Happy crocheting!

I don't know how to get them so realistic.

Love the pokemon! I'm trying the eevee pattern first, but I'm having a little trouble with the head. I can't really figure out which side is the face. Maybe I'm really dense.

Nah, the nose and cheeks are really subtle, so it could be hard to tell. The middle of round 14 and 15 is kind of where the nose should be. I don't know how helpful that is

oh, she's adorable! :3 i'm in the middle of making a baby umbreon based on your pattern, but i had a question about the eevee's mane -- i get how to generate fluff from yarn but how do you actually attach the fluff to the amigurumi so that it's secure?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
aphid777 In reply to torsui [2014-05-23 03:49:37 +0000 UTC]
Thanks! I literally just make bundles of brushed out yarn and leave 2 loose, un-brushed strands that I tie directly into the surface and stuff inside later. Hope that makes sense!

Do you have any tips for doing the eyes? When I do it they end up quite thick and stick out a bit, but yours look kind of indented and really neat and tidy.

aphid777 In reply to comfyhobo [2014-05-01 08:10:21 +0000 UTC]
You might need to use smaller amounts at a time perhaps? I just keep layering a little at a time to hide show-through and to smooth things out as I go along. It also just takes a little practice Took me a while to get the hang of it.

Crowchet [2014-04-07 17:28:23 +0000 UTC]
I think there's a small error on the arms; or I'm just not understanding. Starting with 6 stitches, you'd have to increase in every stitch to get 12, increasing every 3rd stitch would only give you 9 stitches?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
aphid777 In reply to Crowchet [2014-04-16 17:28:08 +0000 UTC]
Thanks for the catch! Updating to "increase around" to give 12 stitches

Currently, I'm trying your Pikachu pattern. Actually, my amigurumi look very small whereas I'm using cotton wool #3. I use a crochet 3.0. Do you know what would be the reason why my crochet plushies are small ? Is it my material or do I crochet too tight ?
Anyway, big thank you to letting us use your awesome pattern !
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
aphid777 In reply to Caterpillor [2014-04-19 20:23:15 +0000 UTC]
It might be because your stitches are tighter and the yarn you use isn't as thick as the one I used. I use worsted weight yarn (size 4) and I use a 3.75 hook. Small is still cute though, so I'm sure yours will turn out great
