Troubles with cutie marks....?Pretty much what I thought was going to happen when I was watching the new episode.Β

yep, my thoughts too as I saw the episode ^^
my first theroy in the episode was that starlight comes back and starts gathering cutie marks again for whatever she is going to use them
... wait a second, she never really told us what she was going to do with them in the first place.

I have an idea as to what Starlight was planning to do with the stolen Cutie Marks.
My guess is that, once she had obtained enough Cutie Marks, she would store them within her body and become incredibly powerful. Β Possibly as strong as Celestia, if not even stronger.
After all, it's now clear that a Cutie Mark is tied to a pony's magical power.
*In the Season 4 finale, ponies who were drained of their magic by Tirek lost their Cutie Marks.
*In the Season 5 premiere, after Starlight stole the Mane Six's Cutie Marks, they became noticeably weaker. Β For example, Rainbow Dash couldn't fly as fast as she normally could.
And recently, an animatic teaser of Season 5 Episode 25 (part 1 of the Season 5 finale, mind you) confirms that Starlight WILL be returning in the Season 5 finale.
I wouldn't be surprised if my guess was correct after all!

That's what I thought, but then I dismissed it and thought it was Princess Luna. I thought it was too soon to bring Starlight Glimmer back.

This is extremecellently awesomazing!
It would have been cool if Starlight had returned, and I think she still might later in the season.
However, now the trio of CMC/Luna episodes are complete! Yay!

Β Β It would have been an awesome show change if they did that. Think of it, she would be an actual recurring antagonist, trying to fight friendship and trying to convert ponies with Markism.
