Description This is the torc I'm making/donating for the Macmillan Cancer Support auction later this month.

So far there's been around 10 or 11 hours work on it. This is just the 'top' of the torc - no backing, no padding, no edging, no fastening ... so plenty more hours to go!

The felt is handmade - black with green and blue-green silk in it. Other than that, it's the usual gold-plated wire, beads, metallic threads ...

I'm quietly chuffed ... and I will update the photo as work progresses! I have until the 19th to complete this ...

I'm glad you like. As I said, I'm chuffed with it ... and enjoying creating a larger piece of jewellery too - it gives much more space for pattern and colour!

I'm glad you like! The patterns are kind of inspired by La Tene culture art - Bronze age, 'early celtic' art. All swirls and loops and inter-woven, very 'organic' in nature. The colours are simply becaues Macmillan Cancer Support colours are greens and white - but I don't like green and white together much (too cold, clinical) and the white would drain the sparkle, so black and gold were added (though it was nearly silver...).

I really like the green on it, And I like the the swirls especially. lol White was never really the best to use with sparkly stuff I learned this by trying it on a project at school long time ago

Black or dark purples/blues/greens even reds or dark browns would be good for sparklies ... I've made some white jewellery ... but it tends to be silvers and pearlescents on the white, which are nice, if more subtle!

Thank you I'm glad you like! There's plenty of work left to do ... I want to cut the backing out and the padding before I head off to work today so I can take it with me to do as 'stress relief' later this day!
