A 'repaint' I did using Instructions for the Armada Air Military Mini-Con Team downloaded from Hasbro's official Transformers website, [link]The Aerialbot Mini-Con Team. From left to right, Air Raid, Slingshot & Strafe (I know Strafe isn’t an Aerialbot, but like with the other gestalt teams I did, there was a 6th member I had to add. While being a completely different vehicle and robot then Gunbarrel is, I kinda thought his weapon mode was pretty fitting, given Strafe’s personality, hehe). I could just not get these guys done up in any way I liked for the longest time. I played around with it and played around with it and was never happy. After doing the best I could, but still not liking it, I gave up on this team a while ago and moved on. When I decided to work on fixing up some of my WIP’s, I always thought that the Superion Saber team was a nice one and it was definitely getting put up, but it would be nice to try and add the rest of the team, the Aerialbots, with it. So with a newfound determination, I picked this thing back up and kept playing around with it and changing things around over and over. In the end, I ended up practically RIGHT where I started, the same place I STOPPED all that time ago. Sure there were some minor tweaks, but basically, I wasted all that time for nothing. This really IS the best I can do with these molds. Though now, maybe because I just don’t care as much anymore (and wasn’t expecting much in the first place), these guys are good enough for me. Sure they have some issues, but still. Good enough. Just barely.

That's a pretty interesting idea. I like how they turned out, reguardless of your attempts to convince me of thier mediocracy. I never had any arielbots, but I thought they were pretty cool in the comic.... until they got blowed up.

That was the first and only thing they ever did right. See, even THEY knew how bad they sucked, so no one would miss them if they flew headfirst into a nuke, hehe. Still though, glad ya like my repaints of them.

Funny thing is while I don't really love these guys (G1 Aerialbots I meen), I can't seem to get them out of my mind. I just HAD to get the entire Superion set from Japan and am still planning to myself a set of the G2 versions of these guys. (Yes, even with those wacko colors. 
And you keep putting something related to them whenever I even remoatly get them out of my mind. Argh!

Anyways, these are really cool repaints Assey. Worthy of the name.

I HATE the Aerialbots. They were the first and only complete gestalt set I had as a kid and even then I thought they were lame. The Aerialbots and Superion remain in my book, the worst Gestalt and Gestalt team in most of TF history. It's nice to see that Hasbro decided to keep the quality level the same with the energon version, hehe. I HATE how E Superion looks. All his figures rock as stand alone figures but Superion BLOWS. Now Devastator, he's done right. I can't say I've seen Bruticus up close so I dunno about him, but he looks to be in between Devastator and Superion, leaning a little closer to Devastator's better quality.
Now that I'm done ranting about that...Glad ya like them. I still have mixed feelings about the lot but...I really needed an excuse to use these molds, heh.
