Description A 'repaint' I did using Instructions for TF: CYBERTRON Snarl downloaded from Hasbro's official Transformers website, [link] , and then heavily edited by me.

Grotesque, one of the 2 Cybertron Monsterbots I did as a special request from ~SigmaCore .

As I have stated many, MANY times, I don’t do requests for people, with a few exceptions. Siggy is one of those exceptions. He asks me to do something, I do it, no questions asked. But when it’s a kickass idea like this, you can’t go wrong. Love the original Monsterbot figures/characters and it was a fun but interesting challenge to re-imagine them. Mostly because it wasn’t something I normally would have thought of, had I not been prompted, but I’m thankful I was. I loved figuring these guys out. And I love the final results. I WANT to own these figures now.

Unlike Doublecross, I was totally torn about this figure though. My original version, I had the gray and magenta plastics swapped. It made the beast mode look a lot better, but the robot mode wasn’t quite as good as this one. I honestly couldn’t figure out which one I wanted to use. They both worked so well in my book. If I could have used the beast mode of one and robot of the other, we would have had the perfect Grotesque. But, while I couldn’t decide, luckily I had my wife and Siggy and a few other friends all throw their opinions at me, and they all unanimously decided this was the better version. I can’t argue with that, as the robot mode is just spot on, and the beast mode is a decent enough, and definitely recognizable version. I just can’t “give up” on my original version though, like I usually do when I make a better one. So, for anyone interested, I’ll throw it in my scraps and add links to it as well.

Eeeee! My fave of the Monsterbots toys and my favorite of your Monsterbot repaints!

So liking this guy it ain't funny. And you really must be on the fence as to which is the better repaint to post both versions on DA. That happened like, never? And you showed this guy off to others aside from me and DD?! I feel violated now for some reason...

Now if I could just get offa my lazy ass and actually make the bloody pixart of Snarl so as to make Cyb Grotusque happen, and repaint Scourge and make Wreckloose, too. *sighs* So many things to do, so little time to do it!

Yup. I showed it allllllll around town. I violated the sacred American/French-Canadiian trust. I am a very bad, bad man.

And even now, I can't pick which version i personally like better. Even though i'm aparently the only one who doesn't definitlvly like this version better, heh.

...So i take it you're just gonna put off that whole moving out thing so you can spend some quality time making new Cybertron pixart models, right?

Yeah. Sure Assey. Already half my stuff's over at the new place. All the cool stuff that is: CDs, DVDs and tapes, computer games even. Hell, even a couple (well, a lot) of my recent TF purchases are there, too.

*looks around comp desk*

So empty...

Heh, not what I was expecting... I figured you would've used someone like Leobreaker, considering Grotesque was a flying Sabertooth tiger....

*pauses to consider*

...ah damn, Snarl makes more sense now that I think about it, with that whole "saber tooth" thing going on. x.x; Mybad.

Either way, I like this. Nice work.

Well i might have, had I thought about doing it myself, but Sigma's idea was to use the Snarl mold and after doing it, it does make alot more sense. Besides, i can't really say I can imagine ANY repaint looking as good on Leobreaker as it does on Snarl. That mold is just...well...lets just say the ONLY way Hasbro could get me to buy a repaint of that hunk of plastic is if they made a RiD Scourge/Nemesis prime repaint of him. And the bastards did...so now i hafta own 2 of him...sigh.
