I was really surprised how well this turned out. I am so very desperate to get a new Roadbuster. Hell, I’d settle for a reasonably priced used G1 one, but no dice. I’d first like to say that I think Roadbuster is WAY too cool a character to get s lame Basic toy, much like my Cruellock-to-Grimlock repaint. Still though, I would squeal with glee if I ever had the chance to own this puppy. I don’t see WHY Hasbro wouldn’t do this, as it’s got just as much apparently NECESSARY blindingly bright plastic as the next toy, only THIS time it’s a good homage too. Oh well. I like him and am happy with it. I edited his face a bit, just to take his mouth off. Ideally, he would get a whole new head, but this’ll work. I also had a hell of a time trying to figure out what color Energon his weapons and windows should be. His G1 windows were empty air, but all his weapons and accessories were dark green plastic. After playing around with some colors, (blue, blackish, green) I settled on the neon green, usually reserved for the Energon Decepticons. I think it looks good and fits though, so it works for me.
