A 'repaint' I did using Instructions for Armada Blurr downloaded from Hasbro's official Transformers website, [link]I’ve been thinking about (and wishing for) this repaint waaaay back when Hasbro had that little web poll to see what the fans wanted Blurr to be painted like for his Powerlinx version. Of course, none of that mattered, since Hasbro ignored that and canceled the Blurr repaint all together.
Well, anyways, one of the choices was to paint him up in a G1 color scheme, and some of the suggestions were Tracks, Wheeljack, and G1 Blurr. Well, I decided to do him as Tracks myself, and will probably give the other two a try too eventually. I think this mold works really well as Tracks, with it’s flight mode and missile launchers, though Blurr looks admittedly badass in ‘bot mode, and that’s not very fitting for the feminine Tracks. Oh well, he looks good.
Minicon…I dunno. For some odd reason, I wanna think of him as “Scamper”, the little black spychanger-like car that came with Metroplex. Why do I think of this Minicon as him? I dunno, just do.

No, wait... This is just as good, hell maybe even better than a blue Alt Tracks! Look Hasbro *points to screen* this would have been a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy cooler redeco to put into the Universe line instead of that all-red Swerve-thingy. The colors are perfect for him, to.
And you want to do the other suggested paint jobs to? Cool. Althought, somehow the thought of a powder blue version of this mold sounds kinda... let's just say 'strange' and leave it at that. The Wheeljack color scheme did look rather nice on this mold, tho'. If you need the original PhotoShopped pics, I think I have them somewhere, along with all the other submission pics people did to (Daytonus, Drench, Pointblank, Hubs.).

Yeah, this is how he SHOULD be, but I can't complain TOO much about the ALL red and black one that's going to be released. Actually, I CAN complain, cause I don't have ANY of the stores he's apparently gonna be exclusively released in ANYWHERE around me. Bastards.
As for the other recolors, I've only seen a photoshopped Wheeljack one, and I wasn't too impressed. I never liked the way photoshopped 'recolors' looked. I'm just gonna give it my own try. Same with G1 Blurr. I agree that might be one of the weaker repaints, but I think I can make it work. As for the others you mentioned, I've never heard of them as possibilities, but they sound like more that I might like to try. Especially Daytonus, the baddest of all spychangers. Next to Mini Scourge of course.
BTW, why the hell would ANYONE think to color him as Hubs? Hubs the Micromaster? I just don’t see it at ALL…

Then it's a good thing you don't see it, my friend, because it is gree-een. Mostly white in robot mode, tho'. But all neon green in vehicle mode. With orange paint aps. If you think that's weird, you haven't seen the Mini-con.

Nah...I don’t need the pics. I like working out the color schemes and ideas in my own head, that way they're "mine". Or at least as "mine" as a homage idea inspired by someone else can be, heh. Don't want anyone to think I'm copying their work, because I know I wouldn't want someone to do it to MY ideas, at least not without permission/credit (Though it does happen sometimes, like my Sandstorm coincidentally mirrored yours almost entirely, heh). Of course, there's always the 'collaboration' like things like we keep doing, turning each others ideas into our own respective mediums, permission abound, heh.
And that Hubs sounds like one ugly SOB, heh. Actually…lemme see that one, for the sheer humor of it. He’d work so much better as Arm Hotshot when I think about it. All the MM Hot Rod Patrol members probably would. (*Freezes as the idea of turning Arm hotshot into Big Daddy crosses his mind* Oooooh!) Man…on a side note, I’m really bummed I can’t get line art for the Playschool Go-Bots. The new “Racer-Bot Beta” would make the SWEETEST Big Daddy ever. Kiddy-fied and everything!

ARMADA Hot Shot as Big Daddy? Geez, I hope your taking about the remolded head/powerlinx version, because the first one's face looks way to youngish to go with that name, IMO.
And I agree that the new Glow-bots would be real cool repaint-fodder. I'm actually thinking of getting these when the toys finally hit the shelves here. (If ever... *sighs*). Already have Waspinat- uh, Buzzer-Bot. He's kinda cool for a chibi version of the greatest of the Predacons.

Yeah, as much as DD and everyone else makes fun of me for it, i collect those little chibi-bots too. And I love them. Wish I had toys like them when I was a little tike. They're definitly worth the 5-6 bucks each.
And as swet as Waspy Buzzerbot is, he's even better in his motorcycle mode, hehe.

We're several waves ahead of that hear, with the newest wave suposedly starting now, though I've yet to see it. Got my Racer-bot Beta from that last wave, but I'm still waiting for a sweet Scourge-esque Truck-bot. This newest wave coming out has Buzzer-bot as a cool little convertable now. Man, ever since Waspinator switched toy lines to the Go-bots, he's been given the royal treatment, and all these sweet, pimpin' alt modes.
