This is a portrait of my friend, Mayple ([link] ) as an Hungarian noble woman.Mayple is a wonderful artist from Australia who is now living and working in Hungary...you can read all about her European adventures and see her recent art accomplishment in her blog ([link] ).
It's been a pleasure to make this little Christmas gift for her and even more to learn that she received it and liked it. ^^
As usual, this was made on Fabriano Artistico Watercolor paper (about 7x9 inches, a bit smaller than usual) with Copic Markers and watercolor pencils + Derwent pastel pencils.

Wow this is amazing! I love the colors, they blend very well, I especially love the skin tones! So nice and smooth. The background seem to fit the setting, looks like she's in a castle of some kind..well she does look pretty royal to me. I love this picture and all the details in it, bravo, beautiful work!

Well, she was not meant to be royalty, but surely a noble woman and yes, you got it right I imagined her to be close to a large open window of a fancy palace overlooking the Balaton region. So happy you liked it. Thank you very much for the comment too.
