Description
(SpongBob announcer voice "Niiinnnne monnnthsss laaaa-tah...")He's been an on-going wip for some time. And after a while, I decided I'd change out his eyes to round pupil - but they looked terrible. So I reused the same eyes. (so far, no company I've come across can make accurate ACTUAL Lynx eyes. The pupil is either the wrong shape, or the color is totally wrong)
Anyhow, I opened up Sno's eyes because they were far too small and freaked out looking, ... so I just went & redid his entire head, which included fixing his ears. All of those combined things annoyed me the first time around, so I finally fixed them. He isn't perfect, but he is far better then he was.
His before image taken Feb. 28, 2013: atfirstplush.deviantart.com/arβ¦
It just goes to show how little time I've had to do the things I love. 'Ongoing wip' indeed. And that's why I have put this image in my tutorials and repairs folder next to the original post.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a bit envious of this fine fellow. You so seldom see cat mounts this well done. I'm in deep with a few other artists already right now, but I must ask, do you do commission work?

First off, thank you so much for that wonderful comment!!! It boosts my ego, and keeps me humble that you feel Sno is well done.
As for commissions, I usually do take commissions and have taken them in the past, but as of the moment I am unable to take commissions because I haven't had the time.
When I start taking commissions again(unsure when), it will be one at a time. I'll take a commission, get it done, and get it home, then take another. However it won't be for a while. When I do reopen commissions, I'll post a journal with all the details.
Thanks again for the great comment, and for your inquiry. I really appreciate it.

That's fine, I wouldn't be able to commission you right away. I just see so many cat mounts with weird faces (cats are hard, from what I understand) so when I see one this nicely finished I start wanting one again. I'll keep an eye out for when you have openings and pinch my pennies.

LOL - Thankies my sweetness! I sooooo wish you could hold him! He weighs an epic soft-mount-ton! I love it. And I am really happy with how I redid his face too. He just looks so much better to me. And his eyes 'follow' which tells me I did a really good job, no blank stare - I am so glad I improved on!
I've taken over 50 pix of Sno the same day outside, and I noticed how his eyes seem to follow me as I take pix of him in the same position. It's eerie and amazing that the camera captured that! I'm really pleased that you like him too.
It means so much to me. One day, we'll meet up, and we'll have a blast!

I actually still prefer his head before, but great work nevertheless

Thanks. Yeah, he has attributes that I would have liked to have kept from the before, and def some from the after, but I am a lot happier with how he came out the second time, just because of his ears - albeit too high up. At least now, he doesn't look pissed off. lol

2! At least at the time 2. Friendly... but it's not like I got to snuggle them. lol They were/are at the "Tiger Haven" rescue 6 miles from me. www.tigerhaven.org/ Because the river acts like a 2-3 mile long sound channel, I often get to hear the tigers "ROMMMPHHHHHHHHHHHH" especially at feeding time, and at sunset in the summer. It's a damned cool thing to hear! And they have Lynx too! (it's been closed to the public for a while due to some dumbasses that neighbor the area) People move in knowing what's there, then later freak out. Pffft. TH has done nothing but comply to ever tiny complaint the county and state alike has thrown at them, and has NEVER had an actual issue with the cats, the caretakers, or of the like. So, a lot of the issues get 'thrown out?' Anyhow, they are doing an exceptional job.
There is also this rescue/zoo called Little Ponderosa Zoo close by me too. If I had a $100 donation, I could spend an hour with one of their silver foxes or their fennecs!! littleponderosazoo.com/ I'd probably sob with joy the whole time!! LOL

You know he did look great before *kinda terrified* in a way that made me giggle.
Β But now he is just awesome- I love the new expression- you did a wonderful job.

Thanks again, and so much for both comments. He was comical in a good way before, but views of him from other angles just looked poor, so in my eyes, he needed a redo pretty badly. No one likes a terrified kitty to snuggle. LOL

I'll just.. take this.. *Shoving him into her shirt, fleeing*
I REALLY like the eyes regardless, I think he looks more "cat-like" now and just overall happy.
I'm not even fond of cats.. and this makes me want a lynx SOO friggin bad!

LOl, he's a bit big to be shirt stuffed, even for an NFL player... However I really appreciate your comment!!! Yeah, he does look a LOT happier now.
